S2•E2: The Cannibal of St. Bonnot, 1572

Rumours of a werewolf are spreading in the town of Dole in France, 1572. Children are going missing by the handful, with whole chunks having been torn from their limbs when (or if) they are recovered. During the hysteria of a witch-trial craze, a skeptic would suspect that it’s mere paranoia plaguing the townspeople’s suspicions, and that only local wolves are to blame. But the true story behind the murders proves to be far more shocking than both theories.

Gilles Garnier, a hermit on the outskirts, becomes closer to the drama than he'd like.
